“…double-digit unemployment” - According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate for January was 7.6%, and 8.1% for February. Although there are two digits in those numbers, the one after the decimal doesn’t quite qualify as a whole number. Yet still it must be: Bush’s fault.
“…trillions of dollars added to the national debt” - Never mind the fact that presidents have very little control over national debt (like Congress and a “regulated” Central Banking System do), but still it’s so much fun to say: Bush’s fault!

It all sounds very nice and neat and convenient, but the math just doesn’t add up, and Obama has proven that he hasn’t a clue how we got here - which would be the mandatory first step toward correcting the situation. Since the “rich” could never pay for it all (even with 100% input), where do you think the balance is going to come from?

I refrain from making the typical liberal/conservative, Republican/Democrat accusations (unlike you), because that’s what the talk show “blowhards” do and it is utterly childish, pointless, and in this case, inaccurate.
I wonder which “best economists” you’re referring to? Just because CNN or NPR (or whomever) says that “top/best/leading economists” agree on something, it doesn’t necessarily mean that every “qualified” economist in the world shares that view, or that there is this huge, undeniable consensus amongst them. It usually just means that whoever wants you to believe their side of the story has quoted those who happen to agree with them, and word it to sound like “everyone” does - kind of like with the whole Anthropogenic Global Warming fiasco. They’re selling you shit, then quoting the few “experts” who agree with them, to make you eat it.
The first step toward educating yourself is to understand that few experts in any subject are ever 100% correct. The second is to realize that you can know nearly as much as any expert/specialist, if you seek the information from different sources, and reason it out on your own.
That “promise” that you mentioned is a fallacy. It’s not supported by the facts, and even some economists who once supported Obama now realize that his stated plans are unattainable in the ways which were “promised.” Now of course those economists aren’t quoted as the “best” anymore, because they don’t support the story.
Some of the most reasonable economists from around the world are featured in thousands of pages of analysis over at Mises.org. If you want to see the other side of the proverbial coin, I urge you to head over there (with frequent noob.us breaks), and learn about things from a different, more realistic perspective.

In a nutshell, we were cooked with Bush and we are gonna be burnt by Obama. Even if McCain won (which there was no way he could cause everyone had to vote for the black guy or else Americans would’ve been labeled racist, so at least half of Obama’s votes were pity votes or “reparation votes,” if you will), we STILL would’ve been up the creek without a paddle. No use in squabbling over the past and who’s fault it was. We just have to focus now on how to get out of this hole so we don’t get shat on further by countries we are in debt to.
