A man was taking his 83 year old mother to the hospital when a police officer pulled him over for expired tags. The woman died in the car while the hospital was less than a mile away.

thats bs y the fuck did he even stop to begin with.. if she couldnt wait that long wait til u get to the hospital to stop for the cop.. thats not the cops fault
Last guy who did that in Eugene Oregon ened up getting shot by the cops when he jumped out of his car to get his kid out of the back seat. It was a few years ago this happened. Cops are f-tards. Just like the cop who said, “It is just a dog” and let it die while he showed his power and control. The could give a rats ass about regular people. As long as they have the power and force it down your throat so you know they are boss. Friggn ass hat needs to be fired.
will IT IS JUST A DOG!
Piece of shit cop, plain and simple.
Another disgusting display of improper and quite frankly stupid actions taken by police that led to death or suffering.
At the very least, the police should be held accountable for their actions in all regards. This policeman in particular should be tried for Manslaughter and removed from duty.
Just my $.02.
I agree, usualy smart people dont grow wanting to be cops so of course you gonna have dumbass out there with a uniform… no one else to hire.
good judgment?..
Fucking Pigs
were you saying this while they were running into falling building in NYC?
what does 911 have to do whit the parents comment??? Nothing. You cant interject 911 into every conversation.
I’m sure that Nareg meant the bad cops and not the good cops, when he said “Fucking Pigs”. And like the rest of the world. There are good cops and bad cops. The thing is that we need to weed out the bad cops. This cop for instance should be fired and receive some kind of punishment maybe for LACK OF judgement. He did follow procedure, but that isnt enough. We cant make procedures for every kind of situation and therefor a good cop needs to have a sound judgement. Its the same everywhere.
tldr; Fucking pigs
Yea I live here in memphis where it happened. The cop called an ambulance ans was like you can wait for it to get here while we deal with your ticket. I mean seriously, what fucked up shit is goin through the cops mind when he is like, oh i know, lets wait for an ambulance cuz this ticket is more important. what an utter fucktard
Some people just can’t think they only go by the book if any thing out of the ordinary happens there screwed.
Hmmm, I’m not sure that I necessarily agree with everyone. I don’t think that the officer caused her to die. Those events where set in motion long before this stop ever took place. It is unfortunate that the guy was stopped for such a trivial violation, but I don’t think that getting her to the hospital a few minutes earlier would have really helped. There is correlation between the two events, but it is flawed logic to say that correlation results in cause and effect. Unfortunately we only get snippets of the story. We have no idea how long the ambulance took. I would also think that the police officer would be obligated to call and wait for an ambulance. Those public jobs have some pretty strange rules around them, and it seems like a possibility. They are just my thoughts on it all.
finally someone with reason on this site
There are always two sides to every story. The man rushing his mother to the hospital. The man who did not register his own vehicle. Would she have died anyway? Did she show signs of acute hypoxia? The officer following “police procedure”. It all boils down to poor decision making skills. On both sides. The officer is required to call an ambulance, but should have used common sense…..But that’s not how he was trained.
Yeah things could have played out different the guy could have called an ambulance instead of taken her, he could have registered his plates when he should have but the police are here to “SERVE AND PROTECT” not just writing tickets and make the city money. If he had been running people off the road or endangering people yeah he should have called an ambulance for him or put her in his car and taken her cause he wasn’t fit to drive but for an expired registration? He should have escorted him to the hospital and then taken care of a minor infraction like that. It’s called common sense, you don’t need training for common sense.
i agree.
The ambulance took 10 min i believe he said and i read somewhere else he was about a mile from the hospital. There’s no reason to put someones life at risk for a trivial ticket. The officer knew she couldn’t breath and decided she could wait for an ambulance “oh ya just hold on i know your mom is suffocating in the backseat but i need to write u this ticket.”. A real man would have escorted him to the hospital. To bad most cops are power tripping douchebags.
WTF?……You may not know this ‘the calk’ cause maybe your one of those rainman kind of superbrains, and somehow the ability to properly apply logic and reason is your gift. BUT YOU SHOULD BE OUT THERE SAVING THE WORLD…..not watching stuff on the internet….clearly your sense and sensibility are not properly being exploited! (this all said ‘tongue-in-cheek’)jk.
You should be able to see it was an emergency and react to it
That will teach you to take care of expired tags. Poor cop was simply doing his job… Then the dude driving could have kept driving if it was a life or death situation. Both parties effed themselves here. …but if it wasn’t for the expired tags, none of this woulda happened.
are u serious??? we’re talkin about life or death cop should have escorted them wow dude ur fucked up
You’re a worthless piece of spit.
where are all the pieces of spit that ARE WORTH SOMETHING then?….on eBay?
you are a motherfucker. stfu and gtfo
That was interesting… but not because of violence.
right. Register your car you fat fuck.
tragic events are always made up of a series of lead up events. The cop did not kill the elderly mother, it was just the last event in a list of events that happened.
The driver had expired tags was one (he should have renewed).
The mother being in a critical condition at 83, maybe should have been in hospital prior.
The driver chose to drive his mother to hospital, instead of calling an ambulance in the first place (where they could have saved her in the ambulance) is also another issue. Waiting 10 minutes for an ambulance + 5 minute travel time = 15 minutes with doctors helping her on the way. Not waiting for ambulance and driving yourself = longer travel time (you must stop at red lights you cant speed) with NO doctors helping on the way.
People say the cop had bad judgement, the driver also had bad judgement in lead up. It’s no one’s fault, just a series of unfortunate events.
Better Call? BS. They just want to have something to write in their report at the end of the day. In this case, he F***ed Up. There are so many cases in which Cops stop drivers in traffic for the stupidest thing and ended up making the whole situation worst.
There was a case where a cop stop a SUV that went over 5mile speed limit RIGHT at the sign he just passed. The driver ended up getting tazed and almost got ran over by on coming traffic. His pregnant wife got out the vehicle screaming and crying, the cop yelled at her he was going to shoot her if she doesn’t get back inside…
It’s the training issue? I don’t think so. Assholes like that shouldn’t be carrying guns and badge.
Another case, a girl got stopped because her headlight was too dim but she ended up in the emergency room. What happened was the cop smell alcohol and she was arrested, handcuffed, while heading to his car, he got angry and swung her down in to the concrete with her face smashed, broken nose and fractured knee. And from all of this, the cop stated that he didn’t do anything wrong.
This pig gives cops a bad name? Time to break out the black tape again?
[...] > pessoa a morrer Amaricanos - lol Woman dies while cop writes ticket [...]
Fucking piece of motherfucker cop. It should have been his mother who died after vomiting her inards.
Remember back in the old days, when police officers would pull over people speeding to the hospital with their pregnant wife and then proceed to escort the two to the hospital?
