Doesn’t sound plausible to me. Like he said, anyone could happen to hear your “secret knock.” It would be so easy to break into your place with just a little reconnaissance. Unless, of course, you changed your knock like every day or something, but then it’d be more trouble than it’s worth.
Or you could keep it just for emergencies, like when you’ve lost your key or something. I guess that would work. But casual use has a lot of flaws.
