Not sure why they placed a camera on a freight train, but that was awesome.
Standard equipment on most of our locomotives for legal reasons. This was a rear engine just used for power. Most likely no one in the cab.

The driver was blowing the horn the whole time.
What did think the tornado would get out of the way?
If you watch you can see some power lines, etc along the route. Maybe the train operator was going over train crossings, and that’s standard operating procedures, blowing the horn to announce it’s coming.
Kinda like how a bus has to stop at ever rail road crossing as well… just have to do it.
So anyway it people like you that always get hit by trains and ask way we didn’t turn. The Darwin theory is still in effect. We still have a job to do to protect others from harms way even if you don’t stop. I’m sure they will be a second one of you out there sometime that will get in my path yet again. HAVE A NICE DAY.
I saw no tornado…. I saw the train come off the tracks though…so that’s ok.

You would’nt “see” a tornado unless the camera was far enough away from it and pointed in the right direction. there was debris and tree parts all over before the train derailed. That’s the tornado.
I’ve been in hurricanes and you only “see” them when you’re in the eye looking at the wall or in a plane miles away.
