Actually, if you saw the video, you would know that several SWAT officers raided the house. They split off and went their own separate ways. They didn’t all stay in the living room. But the cameraman stayed in the living room, proceeding to film the raid from different angles. The pitbull was barking vehemently in the kitchen, and no one fired a round. It wasn’t until the dog charged Officer Lawlor that he fired one round at the dog. A few seconds later, he fired three more shots to put the dog out of its misery. We have no problem with barking dogs. But when a pitbull is charging you, you either put your life in jeopardy or you take the threat out. A SWAT team officer’s life will always be put in higher regard than a pitbull. The physiology of pitbulls is such that their jaws have been known to lock on to their victims, and you can’t pry them loose.

I have needed them 5 times in the last 2 years and they didnt do SHIT. My wife came home, saw our front door kicked in, went across the street and called the police. They showed up 20 minutes later (we live 4 blocks from the station). Meanwhile my wife watches the burglar leave with a bag and she recognizes him as my sister’s ex-boyfriend. The police do nothing. I look out my window because I hear something in the middle of the night and see some guy trying to break into my car. I call the police and by the time they get there he has walked the entire block checking everyone’s door handles. I ask the police if I could have used my shotgun to keep him from leaving (less than lethal plastic pellet rounds) they say no, I would go to jail. I see someone breaking into my neighbor’s tool shed and I, that’s right, call the police. They dont even show up. Im in the garage doing band practice and I hear my dog going nuts. I look out the window and see two cops halfway up my driveway with guns drawn. I ask them what’s wrong and the cop threatens to shoot my dog because it’s not restrained. I explain that the big giant collar the dog has on (the one with the 2 pound box attached to it) is part of the electric fence but I will put the dog inside. He still threatens to shoot it. I ask them why they were looking around my yard. They said there was a noise complaint. It’s 7:30 pm, Sat. and the sun is still up. I explain that its my neighbor calling to get revenge on me for calling animal control on his rotweiller that digs under its fence and is vicious and violent. It tried to bite me once when I came home from work and it was sitting on my front porch. He says he doesnt care about that and asks me for my i.d. He tries to follow me into my house when I go to get it. Our burglar alarm goes off at 2 a.m. The alarm is suppossed to be monitored by the police ( we pay a city fee for that on top of the security company ). The police are suppossed to call us. They dont and after 15 minutes I call them. They tell me it was probably a false alarm. So I say again FUCK THE POLICE.

I love how everyone thinks they are right and know ABSOLUTELY everything about this situation. The point is the dog was shot and most people “think” the police were in the wrong and few select people “think” the police had every right to do what they did. Whose to say what anyone did was right or wrong? People are entitled to their own opinions and just because someones opinion is different from another persons doesn’t mean you all need to hate on each other. Just take it all in stride and get on with your lives. Yes it is sad that the dog was shot but it doesn’t mean everyone needs to hate each other for differing opinions.

I have been coming to this site for a while now and every cop video there is I always see idiots saying fuck the police and shit like that. I, like most people, have had a bad experience with police, but that’s no reason to complain about them all. I would love to see some of you in their line of work. They go through this everyday and have to deal with fucktards like you, I would rather it had been you at the end of that cop’s gun instead of the gun just so i don’t have to listen to you complain anymore about the police. We have policemen for a reason and that reason is to keep retards like you safe in your own home. Now if you have a problem with that and still think the police are unnecessary then you’re fucking stupid. Police are a necessary part of a country and without them the nation would fall apart and you know it. The only reason you say fuck the police is you want to sound cool when in fact it makes you sound completely fucking stupid. It pisses me off reading comments like that because I know damn well the first thing you do if your car or house is broken into is call the cops, and I bet you don’t include fuck you in the phone call do you? Sure there are some cops who can be assholes, but the majority of them live by “to protect and serve.” I find it funny that the only coverage of cops doing something is when they do something wrong. See, this is what I don’t understand.
When a person breaks into someone’s house and the one dude can protect himself and attack the person breaking into the house and kill him and it will be called self defense, but when a person breaks into a house looking for a little bit of weed and a dog decides to bark a couple of times because you know, dogs like to bark and the dog gets shot for it, and the cops have no idea why the people are freaking out over them killing their dog for no reason. Just goes to show you that cops have nothing else better to do with their time.
