Saying this is even comparable to a nuclear explosion is laughable. This is a High Explosive IED. Fairly common these days, being shiped into Iraq and Afghanistan.
We’re not comparing it to a Nuke, just dubing it a name we can easily remember. Mini-Nuke sounds alot better than High Explosive IED.
wtf are you talking about mushroom cloud, or things getting bright. If it was any kind of nuke, the EMP pulse would instantly disrupt anything electrical, like a car. The IEDs are supposedly made from old artillery munitions. The explosive force of several howitzer rounds and their ordinance going off at once.

Every god damn explosion has a shockwave. Any explosion has the chance of a mushroom cloud as long as it creates a strong enough vacuum to fling dust and debris into the air. I seriously doubt there was any uranium or atom splitting involved… Terrorists can’t afford that to use on a near empty street.

It’s called a VBIED, vehicle borne improvised explosive device. Made of either C4, artillery shells, or amonium nitrate. or combo of all.
