This will only work for water drilling applications and maybe for boring holes in rock for blasting with TNT, but as stated above, oil and natural gas drilling would be out of the question unless the goal is to find out how big of an underground explosion is possible. I wonder if it could be used for propulsion in the space program, considering that hydrogen is the most abundant element on earth and water would be the only emission from a rig like this.

you’d need some “nice” mixture of oxygen and fuel to do that under normal conditions. well, this stuff is hot, however we need the oxygen for explosion still, no?
