Yes this trick works, you can also do it by playing your radio on a non broadcast station so all you get is white noise, the same as your tv sound when you have no reception. Even a constant shhhhhhing sound from yourself. The baby associates these sounds back to the time when it was in its mother’s womb. The white noise sound is what the baby hears for nine months during its development. The noise comes from the constant pumping of blood through the umbilical chord. It resembles a whoosh whoosh whoosh sound.
heh heh heh…to follow up on my long winded explanation…don’t put these sounds to close to the baby’s ears, not to loud either. Don’t want to damage the sensitive ear drums of the baby. This trick doesn’t work 100% of the time and usually quits working about the fourth month of development.

KILL THE BABY THAT LITTLW MOTHERFUCKER!
Great tip! I’ll let you know if it works when I have children, should be aroun 5-10 years! haha
Actually it has nothing to do with wooshing sounds of the womb.
It’s all sounds the baby has heard when in the womb.
For example they love it when guys hold them close to their chest (if they are skinny) because they can feel the regular heart beat.
If you play a certain sound whilst the child is still in the womb it will recognise it/queten to it after birth.
standing near a running faucet while holding the baby will produce the same effect, for the same reason.
