A Shreveport police officer has been fired after an incident in which a female prisoner taken into custody on suspicion of DWI wound up lying on a floor at the police station in a pool of blood. Much of what happened was recorded on a videotape — but there is a gap of undetermined length. During that time, the woman wound up injured. She said she was beaten up; the officer claims she fell. Thanks for the tip, Enver.

what do you say to a woman with two black eyes? nothing, you already told her twice!
Wow I really hate cops! All cops are awful people
thats like saying all priests are bad people because a few molested little boys. Wow I really hate Priests!
Ma, you are the dumbest of dumb shits. Maybe if my uncle hadn’t taken a bullet trying to protect your sorry ass, i could take you seriously. fuck off retard.
Good lord, you have got to be kidding me. Even after all the videos, I still thought cops can be trusted, but this video put a dent in that armor. No way in hell you get those kind of bruises from just “falling”.
some shit.
bacon and priests belong together.
She must have fallen right into his fists of fury. Being an aspiring medical student, I know for a fact you can’t get injuries like that from simply falling, even face first.
bacon and waffles make a perfect breakfast
I HATE EVERYONE!!!
No dude, bacon, waffles, and a glass of orange juice! Its the best! But then chug a shitload of maple syrup, it makes anything better!!!
She deserved it, all women do.
That is so fucking fake!!
Not the injuries but the fact that the cop beat her up!!! She was probably drunk at the time and that is why he had to cuff her and after everything she went home and her husband or boyfriend smashed her face in!! Which she deserves for being such a UGE ASS BITCH!!!!
First of all, she can’t have a phone call until she is arrested and booked. She is still taking a sobriety test, therefore she was not arrested. Dumb woman deserved what she got.
see all the videos on here are of cops screwing up. Where are the ones of all the cops who do amazing things. Not all cops are bad…
now this is really sick! it really pisses me off when people in power (not even just cops) abuse the power given to them. It’s true what they say, power currupts people. But don’t be thinking all cops are bad because of this. I know a few and they are the nicest people i have ever met!
Stupid cunt deserved it.
She might have been drunk, but she doesn’t deserve that you retarded fucks. I hope someone beats the shit out of you morons who say she deserved it, so the rest of us can laugh at you.
I don’t care how drunk she was, nothing warrants beating her like that. And like it was said above, you don’t injuries like that from “falling”.
I don’t see a cop beating up anyone. I see a belligerent woman being cuffed. It’s interesting how it cuts and zooms in at convenient times. Nice try demonizing the cops.
that lady risked killing innocent people while driving drunk, i could care less if the cop beat her to death.
She was suspected for DUI. Not that she was even drunk. The cop was immediately fired, and is trying to appeal. The FBI and Deputy Attorneys office has opened an investigation and may press criminal charges against the police officer. I wouldn’t be surprised if a warrant is issed for his arrest in the next week.
The cameras in Dash Cams can not be turned off or tampered with on Squad cars. That SHOULD be the same for when people are being arrested and all other steps of the case, but in some places it isn’t.
I hope he rots in hell.
Way to seek medical attention for the woman in pool of blood!
You win the Asshat award for January 08!
Go to Disney already.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chief Whitehorn’s comments on Angela Garbarino case
Thank you for coming this morning.
The City of Shreveport and the Shreveport Police Department have been in the national media spotlight during the last several days, as a result of a person injured while in our custody.
This incident occurred on November 17, 2007, after Shreveport police were called about a Hit and Run vehicle crash in downtown Shreveport. Two parked cars were struck and it was reported that the driver left the scene.
The vehicle continued north on Clyde Fant Parkway where it ran off the road and struck a street light pole, knocking it onto the roadway. These crashes caused severe damage to the vehicle. However, the driver was able to drive it away.
Thanks to a concerned citizen, who observed the crashes and called police, officers were able to locate the vehicle and driver at the intersection of Grimmett Drive and Havens. The driver was identified as Mrs. Angela Garbarino. She was arrested for Hit and Run, Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.
Before being transported from the scene, she was treated by Shreveport Fire Department paramedics for facial injuries resulting from the vehicle crashes.
She was then transported to the DWI Unit office at police headquarters and released to Officer Wiley Willis for testing and processing. As is seen in the videotape, Mrs. Garbarino was uncooperative and declined to follow Officer Willis’ instructions. After repeated attempts to leave the room, she was eventually handcuffed.
Once Officer Willis determined she was not going to submit to the chemical test for intoxication, he decided to end the testing procedure which included the videotaping. Turning off the tape at this point was standard procedure.
Subsequently, I was notified of the incident by the Commander on Duty. I was also informed that on the night of the incident, Mr. Garbarino was advised by a representative of Internal Affairs of the process for filing a complaint against Officer Willis, if he or his wife felt it was warranted.
By December 10, 2007, no internal affairs complaint had been filed by the Garbarinos. During the interim, I had an opportunity to view the tape. I was outraged at what I observed and immediately ordered that an internal affairs investigation be conducted into this incident.
That investigation determined that numerous policy violations had occurred. A Pre-disciplinary Conference was held on February 5, 2008, and Officer Willis was terminated for violation of departmental policies. Due to his appeal of the termination and the possibility of litigation, I cannot be more specific about this case.
I want everyone to know that we have a great department. Our officers are well trained. Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated by any officer at any time, and necessary action, including termination and prosecution, will be taken when warranted.
Officer misconduct will not be tolerated within the City of Shreveport and all allegations of misconduct will be thoroughly and completely investigated. We will not tolerate violations of departmental policies and procedures.
And, because of that, this officer is no longer employed with the Shreveport Police Department.
After discussions with the Mayor and District Attorney, Paul Carmouche, the file for this case is being delivered to the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office for review.
I have also been in contact with Mr. Bill Flannigan, 1st Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District, who informed me that the U.S. Attorneys Office and the FBI are also opening an investigation into this incident. Of course, we will cooperate fully with these investigations.

Fuck tha police
Comin straight from the underground
Young nigga got it bad cuz I’m brown
And not the other color so police think
They have the authority to kill a minority…
Haha…dorkmunder double posted that long-ass story.
actually my friend hit a tree while skiing face first and he looked exactly the same way.. so techniqually if she fell hard enough face first i think these injuries could be feasable
hahaha
fuck US
cops get tired of being shot at, having to put up with chrackheads, drug dealers, murderers, rapists and being hassled for it. I’m not surprised when a few snap or go a little overboard. In part because they don’t get any damn respect from assholes like you.
He obviously beat the living snot out of her. Just before the camera pauses you can see him launching her into the wall.
What a fucking scumbag. What a brave cop to beat up a handcuffed woman. All you cops should be so proud of your brother.\
Next time there is a story of a cop getting shot I will have a good chuckle.
poop
Fuck Cops.
the cop turned the camera off, and she ended up beaten and bloody. if you think there’s not enough evidence you’re a fucking idiot. go on trusting people with a title - they’re still just fucking people.
deserved it
Her drunk drivin’ ass needed to be kicked.. show some respect
Hey LosT chill out!! My comment wasn’t that serious. Who cares who I like and don’t like.
Donkey Punch other cops have nothing to do with this one and sure don’t consider him as a brother. Ya this cop was awful and should have never allowed to become one but saying that you going to laugh when another cop gets shot is like saying your going to laugh when a president gets shot because there have been other bad ones.
Drunk bitch was asking for it!
but Seriously, WTF, she is drunk and handcuffed let her have her fucking call if shes an uncooperative bitch after that then maybe you can manhandle her, but never fucking beat up a women, only the lowest of the low do that shit.
you fuckers this happened the middle of last year…they just released the tape.
and just to point this out…she is not pleading guilty to the reason why she was there in the first place. which is hit and run, running someone over with her car, running from the cops, and not to mention the shit in this video. all that stuff in one day. plus there is no evidence that he beat her up jackasses. also they said that they might not be able to even use the tape because some jackass edited it. that is the reason for the gaps.
holy crap, huh
funny how he just got “terminated” not charged with assault causing bodily harm… yet if u ever spit at a cop its assault?
Wow, what pricks for saying she deserves that…
Shit that have been my girlfriend that cop would be laying in the alley with a bullet in his head
[...] lets have a discussion. I was randomly looking through some vidoes last night. and kep coming across videos of cops being accused of abusing their power. example A. Cop beats up woman and one close to home. example B. Cop dumps handicapped person on the floor now I know there a lot of pro cop/anti cop fans on here. Seeing some of the responses on the site the videoes were posted on. I really wonder what people who are being serious think about what these cops did or "were accused of". With the first video. I think it’s very clear that the cop did that. But what do you think. and how do these videos make you feel. [...]
If a man was beaten, no one would say anything. But the split second a drunk girl gets hit, it is world wide news. Men are not allowed to be victims. Girls are always victims, even when they are criminals.
Sick Feminists deserve worse than that. Sick feminists promote more hate to the world than a simple beating.
huh. i respect P.D but damn not that fuker. Ya bitch was drivin drunk she should get booked but beaten. He says she “fell” i”ve never seen a floor giving someone 2 black eyes!!! i didnt know they had fists
thas one hella of a fall there pig asshole
Thats why I always run
Wow, I can’t believe some of you are actually taking the side of the police even after a public apology and firing one of the officers involved. “If that’s not the definition of an ASSHAT I don’t know what is” You guys would have been happy as hell under Hitler. How the hell could you say she deserved it?? What if that was your mother, sister, daughter?? Really, you guys are so blind. When is the last time a police officer did anything good for you?? I bet 98% of you would say- never but I have gotton a ticket. Way to stick up for the power tripping police state nazis.
