Maybe the driver shouldn’t be driving ~45mph in a high density retail area. No way he’s obeying the speed limit.
Do they not have crosswalks at the corners in australia? In every major city Ive ever been in around the world you will likely get run over if you walk out from behind parked cars. Common sense plays a big part here on the pedestrians side. On the other side, evolution at work, at least he wont be spawning any idiot kids who will grow up to do the same thing.
