Actually AT&T changed their mind on this. http://consumerist.com/consumer/resolutions/att-wont-charge-couple-for-leaving-satellite-receiver-behind-in-flaming-house-315695.php
Well no shit they changed their minds, you have any idea how fucked they’d be on business if they didn’t after this video does the rounds on the good ol internet?
she’s fucking hot.
AT&T Cingular are the same company. They are nothing more than a bunch of thugs!!!
yea obviously they changed their minds, just like most other american companies they try and screw you over until you report it to the media then they act all nice and forgiving, bucnh of jackasses
AT&T SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE UNDERSTANDING, HOWEVER FROM A BUSINESS STANDPOINT IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT THE EQUIPMENT BURNED EITHER. WHY SHOULD THEY BE OUT THE MONEY TOO? BUT THEY COULD HAVE WAITED FOR THE POOR PEOPLE TO GET THEIR INSURANCE CHECK.
That sucks, I have AT&T too and they better not do any shit like that to me.
Somebody already said my exact thoughts.
Alone? You’re Screwed.
Whit others? You’re not.
Similar thing happened to me druid a school incident a few years ago. The school’s insurance wouldn’t do squat, but we get a lawyer, Bam they’re willing to pay. It’s not the internet, but it works ^.^
If they had ATT’s DSL they would also have had to pay $200 for early termination fee since a house fire is not a good reason to cancel the service.
Sprint is no better. I went to bootcamp, and they promised to suspend the account for 2 years for military deployment. I got back from boot, and they kept the account open, I continued to get billed, and it went into collections. They harrassed me 7 days a week, calling 4 times a day, sometimes just to hang up when I tried to talk to them. I’m currently looking at suing them for breach of contract.
