In poor taste. I adore Calvin for his imagination- Hobbes is his alter-ego, not the same thing as being mad or killing your parents- Mr chicken you have a long way to go-
I agree with Luli. This comic rocks hard, and this is just a parody with a moral. It’s high time the people of the world gave up their drugs, and let kids be kids.
I agree with those of you who think this is funny…b/c hell it is.
I mean that is what a parody is all about…taking something and making fun of it either for laughs or to get a point across. This does both. Though I think their attentions were more of the first than the latter.
Either way I loved it! The comic and this…and of course…MARS IS AMAAAAZZZINNNNG!
Haha, a fantastic comic strip (the best one to come out of the US probably) but the C&H spirit isn’t ruined by this!! Where’s everyone’s sense of humour?? Its called a parody … Surely if you read Calvin and Hobbes, you should be able to understand parodies for what they are, not moan about their effect on the ’spirit’ of the strip. Let’s grow up people…
The Untold Story: Calvin and Hobbes « Meronpan says:
I am blessed with a beautiful six year old son who is EXACTLY like Calvin. He has about 15 imaginary friends but his main one is Sparky the Vacuum Cleaner Dog.
The school doesn’t know how to handle him. He’s WAY ahead of the class academically, and socially a little behind. Nobody’s as much fun as Sparky.
The school wants him labeled autistic and put into special education. Watching this HURTS.
When the comic was written kids WERE still allowed to be kids, to mature at their own pace. A certain amount of respect was afforded to daydreamers. Now it’s all about what’s easiest for the teachers. And as much as they like to talk about encouraging creativity, they really aren’t interested all. In fact, if you dare express any there must be something wrong.
I love the Calvin and Hobbes comics to death. This being said, this parody makes me ROFL so hard everytime I watch it, if you don’t think this is funny, you need to loosen up.
C’mon people, Calvin dreamed up all sorts of mayhem and violence: frying his school off the map with a telescope lens from space, eating school kids in the playground as a tyrannosaurus rex, bombing the school from a fighter plane, and let’s not forget those mutant snow goons! This was funny, admit it.
Yeah, you can’t deny that the comic strip was often violent. And that’s what made it so good! I can’t remember the exact quote from the Calvin and hobbes comic about “Goldie Locks and the three tigers”, but it was something like:
“Then they quickly divided goldie locks into small, medium and large pieces and dunked them in the porage which….”
“Calvin, that’s enough!!!”
“I didn’t write it, hobbes did!”
I think people need to stop thinking of this as an offensive political statement against their favorite comic strip, and realize it is just for fun. It was an obsessed fan of the comic strip (incidentally whose name is Calvin) who showed me this video in the first place!
Since when did a bunch of liberal pussies start coming to this site?
STFU people.
Robot chicken is about parodies, and making fun of the most innocent shit out there. You think BK gives a fuck about your autistic child, shattered child memories, or whatever else you decide to post on here?
Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best cartoons out there, period. And just like some of the other posters said, Calvin’s done FAR worse in his comics than this little bit describes.
Lighten the hell up, and just learn to laugh once in your lives…
Poor Calvin lool
OMG I grew up reading this comic
MARS IS AMAZING
Frigging amazing. I grew up with these guys and I love them to pieces.
Mars is amazing, yeah, but not as good as Pluto *Nodnod*
Another treasured childhood memory ruined…
In poor taste. I adore Calvin for his imagination- Hobbes is his alter-ego, not the same thing as being mad or killing your parents- Mr chicken you have a long way to go-
Terrible. Totally ruins the spirit of Calvin and Hobbes…I hope Watterson hasn’t seen this; it would probably send him over the age.
or the edge, even.
this is going too far.
Lighten up people. It’s called parody, and I’ll bet if Watterson saw it he would think it was funny.
Don’t you see this is a make fun of people not letting a kid enjoy his imagination? Trying to fuck him over? Its fun and everyone over reacts to it.
And when he grew up, he became the arch-nemesis of Batman
i loved these guys. i think people missed the point of this.
parents of today would not want or be able to handle a gifted child like calvin and would quickly look to meds for their own peace.
steal his imagination and creativity and childlike wonder…this is what you get.
and we see it all the time…school shootings and such.
think people…sheesh.
Nuoooooooooooooooooo.
I always knew it would come to that. Shame.
Good animation. But the comics were much much better.
I agree with Luli. This comic rocks hard, and this is just a parody with a moral. It’s high time the people of the world gave up their drugs, and let kids be kids.
Hell, I’m giving my kids a real tiger.
pure silliness.
try to create something your own instead of making this.

I love Calvin and Hobbes as much as the next guy, and I think this is hilarious! Some people need to lighten up.
“Calvin, your parents dont believe…we have to kill them.”
Best. Line. Ever. XD

NIGHTMARE FUEL. UNLEADED.
