DELAND, Fla. - A Florida man is charged with armed robbery after he tried to rob a convenience store with a palm frond.
The man demand cash and threatened to stab the clerk with the frond.
A worker then walked toward the robber with a bar stool and forced him out of the store.
The employee actually recognized the man and led police to him.
DeLand police identified the man as 34-year-old Gelando Olivieri Jr. of DeLand.
