I think the key is to reset almost instantly if you do not have a 5 X multiplier by the time they start shooting from the right side.

personally I don’t use a mouse at all on this game, I use the pen from my Wacom tablet. The more yellows you catch without hitting any reds the more the value of everything else you catch is multiplied, so the best way to rack up the points is get the yellows, and avoid the reds.
