There will never be consensus on a list like this, and that’s one of the things I like about it. I like hearing other people’s thoughts and especially examples of what they think should be on such a list. If you don’t like this list then please don’t just say “that sucks”, include some examples of what you think belongs on the list.

Because I agree with eric, there’s no Metllica, ozzy(in his solo career), Judas Priest, or Iron Maiden. And you decided to put up Green Day and not even mention Randy Rhodes, Zac Wyld, or even Jack E. Lee.

Guys, it was a personal list for whoever put it together, that’s why there’s no Dragonforce or Children of Bodom or Pantera or the like… Again like it’s stated in the opening paragraph “There will never be consensus on a list like this…” Everyone has different tastes.

I don’t think metallica is going to sue your ass because you use 6 seconds of one of their songs while stating that it’s their song, which song it is and everything… I mean, it’s like a commercial for them, some people are gonna go “hey, that’s some good riffs” and download the song, then “hey, that’s a good song!” and buy the album. it would be pretty stupid of them to forbid those kind of things…

i wont argue with your personal favorites but what i think you should add in the listing on the video is the name of guitars, and as i also noticed that with iron man by black sabbath, you posted pictures of the osbournes, but from what i know black sabbath was really run by Tony Iommi, so i believe he should be credited for the song rather than ozzy, because the riff is more recoconizable than the singning, but otherwise id change some things but no reason to argue

too many people seem to be bitching that metallica aren’t on this.
this was completely a subjective list. not everyone likes metallica..in fact i reckon more people dislike them.
i would like to point out before people start making their own lists they should realize that riffs are different than solos, a riffs is the rythym to a song, that is why no solos were played. and i realize alot of people know this, but alot more dont know it.
The beginning to “One” should have been pretty high on that list, but hey, that’s just me.

U need some pantera in there, ever heard of the the song “Walk”? The guy took 2 notes and made one of the best riffs from it.
