F-18’s also have the double tail fins in the back as well, set out at an angle. This one has one tail fin going straight up. Definitely not a Hornet.

agreed….plus the Hornet does not have a fixed external refuling probe…Harriers do. But the Marines do use both aircraft types.

You can tell it’s not a F-18 because Hornet’s have 2 vertical
stabilizers on the tail section and E-6B’s only have one. That
jet only has one.

You can tell its not a F-18 because Hornets have two vertical stabilizers on the tail section. E-6B’s have only one.
Totally a Harrier, not a Prowler. Canopy is too narrow, and the intake vents are larger than a Prowler’s. Yay interweb arguments!

It’s not a hornet or a prowler or a harrier.
It’s a RAF Jaguar. Notice the pitot tube coming off the nose of the aircraft, thats also how you know it is not a mirage.
Reason it’s not a harrier is because the intakes are WAY to small, also a harrier cant carry an auxiliary fuel tank on the center fuselage.

All you know it alls suck. It’s an F-18 all right. Notice the pink undercoat with green and chartreuse striping. The Harrier is a softer yellow with magenta highlights.
This is a Dassault Mirage F1 of the French Air Force, somewhere in Africa. Note the rounded air intakes (not a jaguar), the inflight refuelling system (available on this model), and of course one vertical stab. Air intakes are not big enough for an Harrier.
I can say with all my awesomeness that it isn’t a Hornet, Dassault Mirage, RAF Jaguar or anything else. It’s a peice of shit. Notice the peices of shits hanging off the entire peice of shit? Got your answer right there.

That’s not an F-18, it’s a Boeing 747. I can tell from some of the pixels and seeing quite some Boeing 747s in my time.

That’s not an F-18 of any kind. I’m in the Navy and work on the birds. I agree it looks like a A-10 warthog, or even maybe a AV-8 Harrier.
Also worked on the prowler and can tell you for certain that wasn’t one. I do belay my last though after looking again I can’t say for sure what it was.

An A-10? A prowler? Not even close to looking like those aircraft. Its a Mirage F-1. Im quite sure no U.S. Airbase would allow such a stunt. This was taken overeas…….
Ok so let me see here. We all seem to agree, well most of us anyway, it’s not an F-18 Hornet. I can agree, I worked on the Super Hornets and the squadron right next to mine on the flight deck had reg. Hornets. The aircraft in this video is not an F-18 of either sorts (Super or Regular Hornet). As for the rest of the arguable choices, I haven’t the slightest clue. But my husband works on the Harriers and says they can’t carry a drop tank on the center of the belly. This information is good as far as the year 2009 is concerned. Everyone else, keep fighting maybe you can ask all the branches and they can combine an aircraft to suit all your needs as well.

There is no way that is a US plane, you would get panned for that stunt. Reckon its a Dassault Mirage F1 but guys….it does not really matter, seen the low pass in the spitfire where the reporter leaves you in no doubt its not a fake. its on youtube.
