It is impossible to end that trick on a Royal as if you were paying attention all four of the Kings, Queens, and Jacks were used early on in the trick as as first in walked four guys all dressed as kings, then Sam went to get some more players and found four guys named jack, then he went and got some ladies each of them queens.
See early in the trick you have forced off the ability to make a royal at the end so the best possible hand to make is a straight flush. Remember that he only has one deck of cards.
But yes Amazing Card Control is required to even attempt this trick

To Owyn999…You need to watch the video again and listen at the end. He said the trick WAS ended with a STRAIGHT flush, not a royal which you said couldn’t be done and which you thought he said.

Best stacked deck card trick I have ever seen. At 64 I have seen a few. The amazing thing is he has to re-stack the deck before each table play, while bantering. Timmy O’Tool says it is easy and he figured it out. I Call You, Timmy. How? I can hear the silence!!!!!!!!!
I had the opportunity to stand around a table and watch him do this one live. He was hired in ‘93 by one of the smaller software companies to work their COMDEX booth in Las Vegas. I doubt even a dozen people could have fit around that small booth to watch his act, but Malone is a close-up magician, and that company wasn’t going to draw large crowds, no matter what. Anyway, he would do a 15 minute act twice each hour, always including a couple of his signature illusions. Always including Sam the Bellhop. I managed to get back to see him perform four times that day. Even knowing how to do some of the individual techniques, I’m still baffled and amazed.

Easy slight of hand trick which also uses four members of the audience who have already been told the trick. Try this at home and you will amaze yourself at how stupid you are if you thought this guy was good.
Great story and audience participation. I’ve done this trick for nearly 30 years but my version is about a poker game & the players. It’s pretty simple to do. It’s interesting to see everyone guess at what they think is going on. The audience members have nothing to do with it.

I thought it was a great trick. He told a story, the cards went along with the story and it amazed people. That was the intention of the trick. So people, STOP saying bullcrap remarks about the man and his trick!

Tom, and Thurston, You don’t know what you are talking about. I am a Magician, and know how Sam The Bellhop is done. The audience has nothing to do with it, and anyone who says it is easy to perform, obviously doesn’t know what they are talking about.
Bill Malone does about the best version I’ve seen so far.

Learned that trick many years ago in the service. The hardest part is remembering the story so that the deck can be stacked

the deck is sat up in that order to go with the story, and all the “shuffles” are not shuffles at all, it is good slight of had and good cuts, after he lets the audience cut it he always cuts it again him self staring at the deck to look for the key card to set him up for the next card for the story, very well put together trick but magic is slight of hand

Very cool! He’s a humorous guy! Slight of hand means they can sneak things/tricks past you and you don’t notice. Even if you stare at his hands. Slight is so fast and so precisely controlled, it takes alot of practice to fool people up close.

Hear, hear, Marvin! There is no such thing as “slight of hand” unless you’re describing someone who has thin hands [like a "slight build"]. The proper term is SLEIGHT OF HAND. And yes, that is what this kind of magic is, whether simple to figure out or not.

I was shown a variation of this trick in Australia in 1992, the story involved ‘Fred and the 789 club’. I was amazed to see such a perfect card trick. After showing my own favorite trick to the magician, we exchanged ‘tricks’,I was shown exactly how to do it and use the trick myself, alas my card control needs some work. as with all tricks, its easy when you know how.
