Lee Petrucci performs his “cut & restored money” trick. Can someone figure out how he did that?
That’s pretty ballin’. I’d love to know how that works.
If You’ll notice he places the bills together so they are facing each other, you can place them facing away from each other doesn’t matter just as long as identical sides are facing in and out. Just before he cuts them (now this is really good slight of hand) he folds them and keeps them together so he has two folded dollars. Now the person doesn’t actually cut them as the person is going to cut them he pulls them apart in a manner so they look like their being cut. And Voila your two dollars are still intact and folded.
Now don’t ask me to attempt it, I’m not that good at slight at hand, I’d fuck up and spoil the thing somehow.
Theres 2 problems I see with that explanation. 1. You couldn’t guarantee that the person would cut exactly where the 2 bills joined. Most of the time they would miss the join and end up cutting one of the bills into 2 large pieces and 1 small piece. 2. Even if you ignore the 1st point, the person cutting would be able to feel that they are not cutting paper. There would be no resistance, and would just feel like closing the scissors with nothing in them.
OMG OMG OMG THIS GUY IS SO HOT OMG.I WANT TO BEND OVER FOR HIM
bull shit ghyder. watch the first part, no slight of hand, bills are laying flat.
I think the dollar bills are cut. I think the scissors are not totally sharp. The cut dollar bills somehow manage to stick together because of the unclean cut edge.
ghyder is a dumbass u cant fold those 2 bills together without anyone noticing.
whatever the secret is im sure it is an ultimate disappointment though.
The person is cutting the bills, he’s just using sleight of hand to replace the cut bills with two folded ones. Not a difficult trick to figure out, just very good in it’s implementation. I’d be willing to bet the serial numbers on the cut bills and the ones he holds up at the end are different. (No wonder he uses one dollar bills!)
yeah ghyder that was not a smart explanation, you should think about stuff before you type it out and let people read it.
correct me if im wrong but in the first part of the video he is holding up two dollars and on the dollars in the black circle(you know what im talking about right? lol) there is a G on both before she cuts the dollars. But after she cuts it on of them is a E or a F im just say.Because there not the same
I agree with Dikidee, that there is an adhesive in the scissor blades cause he is very careful to unfold them and pinches them in the middle when he holds them up at the end.
I think i have done a similar trick to this… with cut and restore newspaper you put rubber cement covered with baby power in the center of the paper so that when you cut it… the rubber cement sticks together and the single piece of newspaper look to be restored when you unfold it. Look how he holds his thumbs, it seems that he is making sure you cut within a couple of inches of space, and most people will just cut along the crease. if you put rubber cement in the center of both bills they would stick to the opposite half of the opposite bill and make 2 seemingly complete bills.
I agree with Scoutn. Money is being cut or else he would use 20’s or something. Gotta admire this magician he gets the sweet gigs! Those old timers were stoked.
Spencer is 100% correct…
how can i get rubber cement in india to perform this trick pl help me.
